Alright so I need some help choosing a car. My budget is 11000, and it will be straight cash deal. 
I've been looking at 2006-2008 Honda Civics, some are hybrids, some are not. One thing I've noticed is that a number of them are salvaged. When re selling a salvage car that you bought, how much value decreasing. Or should one not buy a salvage at all? 

I'm really liking the 2008 civic coupe ex. 

But I don't know much about cars, so just wanted to get some opinions??

Also which car has the best resale value? Because within 3-4 I will be selling again.

dont buy a salvage car at all if you plan on reselling

only buy a salvaged car if the, what is it called, car frame? man i cant remember right now. but dont buy it if that is damaged. sometimes there are great salvaged cars, (as in the damage the car sustained was over the "salvaged" limit but there was no major damage to the car internally)

for 11k are you trying to floss or do you just need a car for everyday?

personally id go with like an 08 nissan altima or maxima, very nice car, lots of space, handles beautifully, reliable, and easy to maintain

A salvage title means that a car sustained damage that exceeded 50-75% of its actual cash value and the insurance company wrote it off. In some states recovered stolen vehicles are issued salvage titles and there may be nothing wrong with them. You can find a decent car with that amount

just search and you will find it....... try to bring the car down. Go to different dealers

copped a Honda from a Volvo dealer earlier this year..... went to Honda dealer to tell them to come at me, they failed. Went back to Volvo and bought it.

dont buy salvage even if it looks nice. Also dont take %%!# from ANY salesman, If they say wait ill talk to the manager and make you wait longer than 15 minutes BOUNCE. Dont let them call anyone over after the second guy its some sort of technique or something. Again dont waist your time, if they say a price and you dont like it try to bring it dow but if they say NO then give them your number and keep on searching. If they are about that life they will contact you slurpin you up.

how are the nissans on gas? I'm a student and just need an everyday car. Once I get my degree, im selling for a bmw, but until then just need something nice.

theft salvage titles are not bad if you can find dirt cheap prices

11k will treat you well at a public auction.

If you can find one near you it may be worth it to check it out.

To help you choose here... this is my car 

Is a 08 Honda Civic LX w/ Si Rims and I cleared out the headlights and added tint and HID's. I def. recommend the car as it good on gas and cheap to fill up the tank. If you are a one man show Id say get the coupe. If you have a family kids, Id say get the 4 door. Parts and labor on the car are cheap and I actually do most of the labor, oil changes myself. You can def. find one for 11k maybe a bit more. maybe you can finance it with 11k down payment and having to maybe pay the rest monthly which will be probably no more than 2-3k depending on interest.

P.S DO NOT BUY SALVAGE AS YOU WILL NOT GAIN A DAMN THING FROM IT, ESP. IF YOUR GONNA SELL LATER ON

What are your specific needs?  Are you looking specifically for gas mileage, or do you need something to haul your things back home in when the semester ends?
