I don't do car forums and im not much a car buff so decided to ask here

i bought my car with 4 18in performace tires (General Exclaim UHP) and have had numerous probs. Right now I have a spare on front passenger because of a flat(like my third one in a year) and my front driver side has a bubble. These tires I buy are right around $100 each and im getting kinda sick of alwaysreplacing.

my question, since I have already spent mad dough buying new tires and fixing tires and stuff, should I still buy the same tire to keep them all the same? doesthat even matter? if i get new tires for the front should i still get performance tires or does it not matter? does a bubble in the tire mean I need a new one?

if i were you i'd just buy a whole nother set for the low. try looking on craigslist for some tires in your city, and yes bubbles mean you need a new onebuddy. i had a bubble on one my vogue tires when i use to roll swangers and that $%$@# popped on the freeway and i almost wrecked my car, those bubbles aredangerous fam.

buy two of a different type/brand if this type is giving you problems

You want to keep the tires on the front and back the same - so if you are changing tires put the 2 good ones that you still have on the front and the 2 newones on the rear.

You always want to put new tires on the rear - they say it's safer that way.

That solves the problem of wondering if you should change the drivers side too - just do both.

bubbles need replacing. i wouldnt recommend buying used tires either. what size tires? try to stay away from generals.

is your car lowered? because too much negative camber could cause uneven wear and you could replace it every 6-12 months or after 'x' amount of miles.
you could do an alignment but thats not always guaranteed.

the only real solution (in sports car as far as my experience has been) is to get adjustable rear control arms...

you ever considered just getting used low profile tires from tire shops? (they usually have 75%+ tire wear left and go for as little as $25/tire...)

Generals compounds are too soft.
do not use two types of different tires as the different treadlines will cause you car to experience vibrations, and grip in awkward ways.
Buy a good set of tires. As i tell all my customers, tires are the only object from your car that is touching the ground, do not skimp on them. I prefer t1r's and ps2's.

ive used tirerack often...i think i just want to get 2 new tires to replace the ones in the front now and maybe put them in the back if I have to

they are 18s...should i just go to a tire shop and ask about used tires or what they have on sale and stuff? ideally i just want some good value and dont wantto drop too much money

I got a set of four on clearance last year under 400 plus BOSE ear phones.

check your front suspension, weak/blown struts/shocks may be the culprit of the bubble forming. also have the front end including steering links and suspensionarms, etc checked

its better u replace them all with the same type of tires ....rolling with two different brand of tires isn't really that good ....the threads on the tireswill be different

also, i suggest get and alignment done on ur car ...and tire rotation during each oil change ...to keep ur tires lasting longer ....
