So I went to a bar last night, and I left my debit card on the bar by mistake. I woke up, couldn't find my card, and I checked my online banking statement. Unfortunately, my account is missing 1200 dollars, and it says the charges were from best buy. I'm assuming the person used my card as a credit card and went ham in best buy. I canceled the card and reported it to chase, but they said they have to investigate it before they reimburse me. Will I get all of my money back? I'm crazy worried!! Thanks in advance for your help!

i would assume they would find a way to reimburse you. couldn't they just get with best buy and find out it wasn't you signing for whatever was bought?

That's what I would figure, but I also signed the back of my card (I know, mad stupid), so they could've copied my signature fairly easy...

You probably will get your money back  . It would've been easier for you if they just  made an online purchase  to trace, but at least they spent everything at one store.

I work for Chase, once the transactions are no longer pending on your account, you can file a dispute and get your money back within 48 hrs.

A lot of places dont. Swipe and then sign on that stupid screen thing. They do it at a lot of stores in the city, and stores like the Apple and whatnot. Best Buy? They could care less.

that was the worst 4 days ever for me. i went to a giants game and tried to buy a tickets to a game at the ticket machine. 3 of the 4 machines i tried were out of ticket paper but i was still charged at each one. but once i called it was fixed instantly and they said it was a common problem for me so i shouldnt be worried.
