Top forensic pathologist Dr. Michael Baden has performed an independent autopsy on the body of Chris Lighty to find out more about how he died.

Dr. Baden said it is too soon to tell for sure if Lighty's death was a suicide, murder or tragic accident.

Lighty, 44, was found with a gunshot wound to his head last Thursday at his townhouse in the Riverdale section of the Bronx. The hip hop mogul managed the careers of international superstars like Mariah Carey, Diddy and 50 Cent.

The city medical examiner ruled the death a suicide. But Dr. Baden, a Fox News contributor, said he performed a second autopsy himself. He said he won't be convinced until all his test results come in.

Hours after Lighty's death last week, I spoke exclusively with his grieving brother, Dave Lighty. He had his own doubts and wanted answers.

"I'm a little surprised, shocked, and lost at this moment," he said at the time. "I want the truth to come out."

Dr. Baden said there is no disputing the city medical examiner's conclusion that Lighty died from a bullet to his head, but his inquiry is going beyond that.

No one from Lighty's immediate family or inner circle would comment on this development. They are grieving their loss and preparing to say their final goodbyes.
The wake and funeral for Lighty will be at the Frank E. Campbell funeral home on the Upper East Side Wednesday morning.

I had doubts since I saw the news that he was dead.

This Dr. Baden is the same forensic doctor from the HBO documentary series.

Waiting to see what comes of this.

The music industry is so shady, I wouldn't be surprised at all if there was some foul play.

just like i posted before, 50 or someone deep in the industry had something to do with it.

Chris Lighty's funeral held in New York City at the Frank E. Campbell funeral home on Wednesday (September 5th) saw attendance from megastars like Diddy and 50 Cent.

Chris Lighty, passed away after apparently shooting himself in the head, although reports are muddled as to why, it seems Lighty was deep in debt with the IRS and had also recently gone through a divorce.

Chris Lighty's funeral was held in New York yesterday (Wednesday, September 5th) at the Frank E. Campbell funeral home on Madison Avenue, the same funeral home which took care of Notorious B.I.G. and Aaliyah.

Lighty's funeral brought out some of the biggest stars in the hip-hop industry, all of whom wanted to pay their respects to an influential man. 50 Cent,  Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Lloyd Banks, Mary J. Blige and LL Cool J were just some of the faces seen at Lighty's funeral. LL Cool J shared a few words on his friend to MTV while there, saying, "he was a jewel and a treasured person in the community. Just one of the architects of our culture and he was my friend."

Watch footage from the funeral below. R.I.P.
