Rose is more exciting to watch, is a better scorer, and more athletic. But Chris Paul is a better pure point guard. DRose is the best combo guard. Let's not also forget that Rose has better teammates and plays in the east.

Statistically, Chris Paul plays with two of the worst wings in the league. And that's among all wings, not just starting. Neither Ariza nor Belinelli shoot, dribble, or pass particularly well. Their inability to create or dribble puts tremendous pressure on the PG to create ALL the offense for everyone. Neither can shoot with consistency, which allows the defense to become compact and sag into Paul's driving and scoring lanes, and when he kicks to the open man it's usually a spot up brick or some other disaster of a play.
Paul and West, and to a lesser extent Okafor are the only above average players on that roster.

All I'm saying is, the Wizards have only won 3 games without Wall.
The Hornets can most likely win more than 5 games without Paul.
Their record says something also (Hornets) ... if the Wizards team is as good as you guys say, they would have won more than 12 games.

I wanna know what happened to Ariza. He played great in LA.
I thought him playing with Paul was going to be HUGE. But it hasn't panned out.
Paul talk, Wall talk, Rose talk, Rondo been mentioned once or twice, and the one that slides under the radar, Deron. (on here at least) Even Nas ain't bring him up yet, and I know he got his finger on the trigger lookin like Banderas up in the tower in Assassins.
As i've said in other threads, you can't have Paul be the best PG in the game, and then 20 games later, change your mind. That's stupid. Paul and Deron are 1 and 1A in whichever order you feel. Then you have Rose, Westbrook and Rondo playing insane basketball this year, but they haven't done it as long as CP3 and D-Will have. It takes time to "be the best" so to speak".
Arguing like this over a shortened period of time is a lot like seeing a player go for 30 and 30 in a game, and saying "RIGHT NOW, HE IS THEE BEST PLAYER IN THE NBA, BAR NONE!!"

Counting 20-30-35 games is equally foolish.
Rose and his peers do this for 2-3 years straight, then they can be elevated a few notches, IF Paul and Williams aren't matching their production as we've all come to expect. Will Rose and Wall at some point surpass them? Sure, it could happen. Has it happened the first 3 months of this season? NO.

You really gotta watch more Bulls games. Even though the ball always touches his hands, Rose really doesn't dominate the ball compared to someone like Nash or Rondo. A lot of times he will give the ball up before even crossing mid court or in the half court set his teammates will pass to him and he will hot potato that joint to another teammate. He "passes" a lot more than he assists and keeps his team involved in the game by giving them a chance to create. Nash is like the AI of assists. He will give the ball up when he's trapped and immediately call for it right back so that he can set someone up, his dimes are inflated because almost no one else has a chance to create on that team. Rondo is the same but not as bad. Rose just has a different style of playing QB
