Chris Rock and his comic chops saved the day-by making a pregnant woman whose water broke laugh as she waited for her ambulance, according to US magazine.
The comedian was reportedly browsing the racks inside the Neiman Marcus department store at the Garden State Plaza in New Jersey Friday when a very pregnant woman suddenly went into labor a few feet away.
The father of two instantly rushed to help. Rock started to crack jokes—amusing the woman while diffusing the tension among passersby.
"He was making the crowd and the woman in labor laugh," an eyewitness told Us. "She recognized who he was immediately and he stayed there until the paramedics took her away."
No word yet on the mother and child’s condition.
