Although all NikeTalk users benefit charities by supporting our advertising, between December 15th and 19th you can chip in a little extra by using the Chrome for a Cause extension.
Your contribution is determined by the amount of tabs you create.

From Google:

Here's what your tabs can do:

  • 10 tabs = 1 tree planted
  • 10 tabs = 1 book published and donated
  • 25 tabs = 1 vaccination treatment provided
  • 100 tabs = 1 square foot of shelter built
  • 200 tabs = 1 person's clean water for a year

The program benefits five well-known international charities:

The Nature Conservancy

charity: water

Doctors Without Borders

Un Techo para mi País

Room to Read

As some of you may recall, we've supported Doctors Without Borders and Room to Read with two of our recent donations.  You can read about them here:

If you like, you can even support a different charity each day.
I normally use Firefox, but for the next few days I figure I may as well switch to Chrome.  With as many new tabs as I have to open just to issue warnings and bans on here they'll be cranking out new books faster than Stephen King on speed.

We'll have a new community donation to announce in the not too distant future, too, but in the meantime this seems like an easy way for us to help some great causes.

Looks like I'll be helping clean a bunch of people's water for a year with my level of usage

Chrome ran on my computer better, 5 year old desktop running Ubuntu, I liked Firefox better because a few extensions aren't on Chrome yet that I used, but I'm happy with the switch.

I'll definitely support the cause
