Cleaning Question

Is there a way to get the white, ashy look off a dark colored sole?

I just got a pair of older Trainers and they have the ashy look on the strap and sole.

I searched the other sections and didn't see any cleaning guides. Figured throwing it into the fray here might produce results.

Nothing.

Try applying a little bit of baby oil and rub it around.

I may give it a shot.
