Coldplay Is Amazing

I've always been into Coldplay and loved their music. Recently though, something that happened in my life that made me look for songs that I could relate to. I guess I never really paid attention to their amazing song writing. It's amazing how much better music can be when you can feel the emotion in the song because you feel the same way. 
And for those who come in here and say Radiohead>Coldplay. I don't like comparing the two, and their styles are very different. I love both bands to death and they both deserve to be appreciated, but this thread is about Coldplay. 

Juts to note, their older stuff is better than Viva La Vida.

Some of my favorites are The Scientist, Talk (Alternate), Speed of Sound, Trouble. They're really great. Unfortunately, some of the real quality speaks about disappointment or comes from a depressing place.

I thought you didn't like comparing the two?

 What I'm trying to say is that you can say that about any band that has gained fame and stardom. Coldplay might have a more mainstream sound but their music is full of meaning and emotion.

they really aren't though... i don't see whats so amazing about them. i've heard x&y, which was cool, that viva joint sucked and some other joint that i didn't like either... i guess i just can't relate

One of my favorite bands, Viva la Vida being my favorite album. To me, it is head and shoulders above the others, and Brian Eno on production is only going to help them further their sounds. I can't pick a favorite song, but I have met Chris Martin twice.

i havent listened to them in a while because i've been on the upbeat lately. but i love their music when in times when i want to be alone. Yellow, Sparks, Trouble, X&Y, Dont Panic, Warning Sign, In My Place, Daylight..

Been a fan since the first time I heard Yellow and I enjoy listening to that album more than any other...
Eno is working on their next project as well

I love looking out the window and listening to coldplay Just takes my mind elsewhere
