I will probably get a lot of %$$# over this but I really need some advice.
But yea Ive been depressed ever since I was in the 7th grade and it has always had a huge affect on most aspects of my life. Especially school.
Now Im a sophomore in college. Pretty much 70% of last last year and 80% of this year its been really bad and my grades were affected by it. Especially since I transferred to a new school. Last semester I had a GPA of 1.9 and this semester isnt going any better either. So finally Ive decided to try to get some help to get over my depression and I talked/talking to a couselor at my school.
She gave me an option of allowing me to get a Late Withdrawal from my classes so that my transcript wouldnt be further affected. I would lose all the money ( My mother pays for school out of her own pocket), but my trasnscript wouldnt include my grades from this semester, which arent really good.
Now what Im asking you guys is if whether or not thats a good thing to do. And if you were someone like my mother who is paying out of pocket, would this seem like a load of BS or a valid reason? I dont want to seem as though I am using my depression (which she knows nothing about) as an excuse for my short coming in school. I know the importance of doing well, especially in this economy, and I want to do well. But its really difficult to do.
Once again should I go through with that? Or does this seem a like a load of BS to you guys?
Im sorry if Im not clear with my post. Ill clear anything up you guys dont understand. Thanks
