my thoughts on the game.. . WE REALLY NEED A HOLE PLUGGING LB.!! if not that, a bigger presence at DT. Freeny and Mathis, each with a sack, looked real good rushing the outside. LB's need to do a better job with containment. That was one awfull showing from our entire defense in the 2nd half

.With the injury to Sanders, and last years production from Melvin Bullit.. maybe its time to shop sanders around.. dont know who will want him now, dudes fragile as hell. damn shame.
Our O-line really need to get on the same page. cant have Manning being hit so much, especially if were gonna rely on him throwing 45+ passes a game.. need to build some chemistry. "DAMMIT DONALD" pick up your block.!!

. a few dropped balls from our receivers in the 1st half, but they all looked pretty sharp in the 2nd. Wayne, Clark, Garcon, Gonzalez, and Collie. really curious to see how this is gonna play out. WR+Sanders package for a run stopping defensive presence.??

THERES ABSOLUTELY NO REASON WHY PEYTON MANNING SHOULDNT BE THE HIGHEST PAID PLAYER IN THE NFL.!! BEST GOT DAMN PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE.!

overall i wouldnt really call it a dissapointing season opener. yes, we lost. to the TEXANS!! but hey, least we dont have to hear all that UNDFTD talk for the first time in what, 5 years.?? Now we can just focus on getting better..

Congratulations to the Texans on the holding on. must feel really good. lol. dont know who the hell that running back was but, he sure put a pounding on our D. and big boy at full back, dude was leading the way all day.. hats of to those 2.

All of that, but especially this. I'd rather see them lose early, notice and rectify the lapses and correct them, then win 10+ straight and fold in the playoffs or Super Bowl. Manning is a BEAST . Defense looked pathetic though. I expect a slaughter of the Texans next meeting in November. And what's up, where's the Colts official thread?

I wasn't surprised.

The Texans draft to beat us. It seems like their goal in life is to beat us. I'm sure they're tired of getting beat on by us like a little brother.

We threw the ball way too much. 57 pass attempts and 10 runs? Not only did that allow them to adjust to that unbalanced and predictable play calling, but it gave more opportunities for our WR to make mistakes. Dropped balls. Fumbles. We're lucky Garcon poked that ball out on that near INT.

I'm just tired of this undersized crap that we love. None of our receivers are imposing figures. I couldn't imagine Peyton with a big target.

Our defense is undersized. Quickness is all fine and dandy but quickness slows down during the course of the game. Our O-line is steady getting rushed. Our undersized defense made a big RB like Foster look like God.

We can't truly do the no huddle/hurry up offense. Had that old Black man ref hobbling around taking backwards steps while trying to get out of Peyton's way after setting the ball...it just looked mad awkward.

I hate that rule and they need to get rid of it. It's not like refs were getting killed out there on the regular.

But whatever. Maybe now, we'll take the regular season seriously instead of winning a bunch of games and coasting into the playoffs without momentum. Good game, Texans. You knew our run defense has been suspect forever and straight abused us. I can't even be mad at that.
