I know someone thats heading to the Sin City for a week But he needs to keep in touch with his business overseas, so his clients can call himHe has a iphone 3gs. But he can get one of those pre-paid phones if its cheaper overallI suggested he set himself up with AT&T and then get a long-distance phone card. But that altogether doesn't seem too financially sound for only one week of use.So you cell providers employees like to give me some advice?

one week? tell him to get an ATT go phone... if you have a spare lying around, hook him up for the week and have him get like $25 worth of airtime. it's like .10 a min. flat fee.

this is assuming he's keeping his 3GS handy for the business folk... in which case, tell him to turn wi-fi on and cellular data off.

not too sure about the cellular data part, i'm not in work mode... hope that helps, bro.

Does the at&t go phone need an activation fee?

He's just gonna use his ipad for the wifi connection and use data that way

Is metropcs really cheap?

But he would need to get their pre-paid phones, do they even offer pre-paid phones

This is his best bet. Get the iPhone 3GS unlocked if possible. Then just go to either T-Mobile or ATT and ask for a prepaid sim card. Insert sim into phone and use service.
