COMPUTER HELP!!! vol. NEW CUSTOM PC

Just finish putting everything together...but when i turn on the power there nothing on my monitor!! Can anyone help? been awhile since i did a custom PC, so i'm totally lost right now ...

AMD Athlon II X4 620
4gb DDR3 Ram
500gb hitachi deskstar
Powercolor  Radeon HD 5450


Nothing big and powerful ...just for basic needs ...
 
take the videocard and 1 stick of ram out

try again..

You're suppose to install the add ons once the pc is up and running.

I don't get it, i should take the video card out and 1 stick of memory out, boot it up? then while its running stick the videocard and memory back in?
  
 
Does the mobo have integrated video? well they all do at this point. setup w/that first.

no it doesn't, thatt why i'm kinda lost with Monday advice ....its a Biostar A770E3 Mobo, got it w/CPU at fry's for $88 a few weeks ago ...

Just make sure all components are secure then, like really, give them an extra push.
 
Mobo with no integrated video? Anyways, try removing each memory stick and try again, then switch them up in the DIMMS. Does your mobo have integrated sound? If so, take everything out and try turning it on and see if it beeps, you may have a defective board. You could also have a bad power supply, so look for any indicators like a red light or something on it. I have a Biostar board and AMD processor and it definitely lights up the inside of the case when I turn it on

What, the price? Frys and Microcenter always have crazy good deals on stuff like that. That's actually the same processor I have in my build I am on now, but my Biostar mobo is the TA790GXE 128MB with integrated sound and video. Contact Biostar's support number if you have to or Fry's and they'll give you an RMA to send it back
