hey fellow niketalkers, whats the BEST software to use on your computer when viewing dvds?
Everyone knows we only live once, but if you live good enough once is all you need
 
Can someone help me?my post flopped. My Firefox will not work. I've tried reinstalation.It opens and stays on the loading screen.Help!!!

how good is spybot does it catch things that adaware se doesnt catch. and do i need macafee<sp

Anyone know how I can delete some of the programs on my computer? I have tried getting rid of Windows Defender using Add/Remove Programs and I keep saying the network resource is unvailable and I can't unistall it.

I don't know the answer to your problem, but I'd keep Windows Defender. It does a good job too.

for somereason when i try to bring up my task manager it says its been disabled by the adminstartor but im the only person who uses the comp and none of the names are adminstartor

Quick question. My cpu has been running slower for a good minute & I know that it's not spyware/adware/virus, etc. NOD is my AV so it shouldn't be taking up too many resources & I never use more than 2 programs at a time, especially ones like iTunes or Photoshop that I know hog space up.

I installed a program called Memory Turbo that shows how much available RAM you have & is supposed to help free more up for you. I think that I may need more RAM. I have 247 MB on my desktop. Since I know almost nothing about RAM, is this average, low, etc? And would buying more speed it up? And last, if I bought some at a electronics store like Best Buy or Circuit City, would they be able to install it?

247mb ram...so you have 256mb ram...that's pretty low for today's standards. you can buy ram separately from circuit city and stuff, but make sure to ask the rep that it'll fit in your comp. it will speed your comp up slightly, let you run more programs at once, etc. you can install it yourself, it's quite easy. there's slots in your computer for them.

That happened to me a few weeks ago. Turns out it was either spyware or a virus. Run some spyware scans with the programs I've recommended in my previous posts, and a virus scan with your AV.

Yeah, I'd get some more RAM. I have 1GB, and it's fine, so I suggest you get that too. And yes, they should be able to install it, although it is very easy to install yourself. You just open the computer, and the RAM sort of clips into a socket. Very easy.

^ I have Windows XP Media Center Edition, so I use Media Center. But, when I used to have regular XP, I used Media Player Classic, along with the Klite Codec Pack.

^MS paint will resize your pics. if you want to be more exact in size (in pixels) you can use PS.

Quick question,

I'm looking for a low profile agp card for a compaq desktop of mine. Not looking for stellar graphics, but something to get me by with cs and other old games. Question is, does brand really matter? Choices being:

XFX, ZOGIS, eVGA, ect.

Now I know everyone recommends eVGA, but i've heard good and bad things about all the other companies (like some love asus, others absolutely hate it). eVGA is not on the list of graphics cards I'm able to obtain. In fact, ZOGIS has the best stats for the lowest price, but I researched them and they are relatively new.

so... can anyone give me some advice on video card companies? Im looking at a low profile agp geforce 6200. thanks,

I wanna upload a video so I can put it on Myspace. I cant upload it cause my video is 137mb and myspace and youtube only allow up to 100 mb. Is there any site I can upload it on so I can get an HMTL code to put it on myspace page and be able to email it also or is there a way I can make my file smaller with out takin away from it.


Its a slideshow with music on the background. I even reduce to size of all the pic and still got the same MB.

so my computer freezes randomly....i asked my cousin why it does this and he said its because of spyware....i just wanted to know if he was right...
can anyone tell me why my internet doesnt work whenever i download a virus cleaner...like panda platinum antivirus www.pandasoftware.com/pro...6_part.htm and same thing happened when i got norton anti virus...
