Computer wont start without Iphone? Help

okay,so i have an iphone 3g thats jailbroken,and a laptop that has been working perfectly fine until now. For some odd reason,when i shut down the computer,and then start it up back again,the keyboard would light up,but nothing,the screen acts almost paralized. Once i plug in the iphone,it starts up right away. anyone ever heard of this? any help would be appriciated.
