Conversations with young children

Me: I'm about to go running and workout

Niece (will be five years old in April 17): why don't you do it here in my room

Me: I can't. I have to go run a couple of miles and pick up some weights

Niece: you can still do it here in my room

Me: do you know how long two miles is?

Niece (with the utmost confidence): yes! It's 70 degrees long!

Apparently, she heard someone ask about the weather when going outside, so I'm guessing because I said I was going outside, she connected the dots
