Cop Run-In

besides the fact you need to drive more cautiously, you'll be fine. Daddy won't find out.

Idiot, you just confessed to breaking the law when you say "probably about 75".

That's why they ask the question. To use it against you in court.

You think they don't know how fast you were going?

Rook.

I freak out, and pull over the left side, which prompts him to tell me with his megaphone to get to the right side, so i did. He comes to the window, asks for license and reg, asks me how long ive been driving (one month) then tells me how dangerous it is to pull over to the left side. He then asks how fast was i going, to which i respond "probably about 75." He asks what the speed limit is yadayada i say im coming from finals and want to go home to eat, hence my rush. Then he gives my license back, doesnt ever take it to the car or anything, and tells me to not get in trouble and relax and enjoy summer. So, is this even a warning? Will my dad be able to find out this happened?

Cliffnotes: Pulled over after going 95
Pull to the left side instead of right
Tell cop i was going 75
Get off with nothing whatsoever, and some very mild advice
Does this count as a verbal warning or "strike" and will my dad find out?

You were lucky to get off from 95 with no consequences. Perhaps he didn't have his radar on, and figured since you were a kid you would fess up. If hecaught you going 95 with the radar your license would be gone for 180 days atleast. Especially that you've had your license for 1 month.

I-95 doesnt mean GO 95.

1. warned for name calling
2. cops know how fast you're going... you lying to them is just going to make them give you a ticket even more. so you say, you don't know or givethem the real answer...doesn't really matter.

..and I've gotten out of a ticket by telling the truth about my speed. really....it depends on the cop

You're good, cop was in a good mood and probably has a couple of kids like yourself...But, the next time it happens you might not get lucky so just keepyour eyes open for the sneaky cops, if you are willing to speed !!!

I get pulled over all the time. Just admit you did something wrong and they'll take it easy on you. You got off the hook this time, nothing to worry about

you're good man..you must be like 16 to be freaked out over a warning....

@ pulling over on the left side though

Yea the times ive gotten out of tickets I just told the truth.

The first time I went right on red in an intersection where there are clearly signs that say not to. Got pulled over he asked do you know why. Told him prollycuz I took that right on red? "Yep did you see the sign". I told him yea. He just gave me a stoneface and was like "just get home".

The second time was crazy and I was 100% sure I was gonna get a ticket. Anyways I was flyin down the highwya weaving in and out of traffic comin back from workand just wanted to get something to eat. So he pulls me over and asked me why I was driving so fast and weaving through traffic. W/e, w/e told him I just gotout of work and was just tryin to get somethin to eat. The he gave me the funniest/most !$%!*# up lecture Ive ever gotten from a cop.

He said, Stop driving like a *$#$+*+ $$%$!#+, and if im gonna drive like that ever again to do it in my own neighborhood so that if I kill anyone its someone Iknow.

why do the ones that should be warned are not and those that should be punished are not?

saddd

I agree 100%. I speed a lot (not dangerously fast but enough to get a ticket) and I have NEVER gotten a speeding ticket. Every time I've been pulled overspeeding I've been honest and courteous to the officer and I could tell he appreciated it. Only got warnings.
