Can't really argue with this statement but I have to believe that because she was at two distinctly different places in her life while recording the albums, they really can't be compared. Maybe that's just me, but "Id do it all again" is one of the most sincere songs I've ever listened to in my life, and what that means I'm not really sure but at any rate she is definitely appreciated.

her voice is so soothing...i find myself listening to a bunch of her recent interviews...i'd buy an album of her just talking me to sleep...i can't really understand her when she's singing...i have to really sit and concentrate so I havent listened to The Sea much yet...

and she's just so darn cute

I didn't like the Sea too much beyond a couple songs. The production was awful. The instruments were just a cluster-**** at times (see first track).

That said, her voice is attractive and she draws from an ocean of emotion.

I agree but its damn close.  Very close call but I give her debut an edge.  Her voice is beautiful and she is an amazing songwriter.

The Sea is wonderful. It was well worth the wait for a new album. shame about what happened to her husband though
