Coservatives dont think Common should perform at White House b/c he's a "gangster rapper": lolwut?

Ding, Ding, Ding.

This is another example of the current administration lacking foresight. For the record, Common is about as docile as it gets when it comes to rappers. But to deny the fact that he has said very questionable things and shouldn't be endorsed by the president is simply ignorant. To have lyrics promoting the innocence of a convicted cop killer, who is a fugitive mind you, during national police week, is inexcusable. there is a reason why the administration has taken steps to mask his performance last night.

but seriously I bet none of them have ever even heard one of his songs
They heard 'rapper' and immediately assumed that dude was about that life. Rap stereotypes

Wow, some of these people are making sweeping conclusions about a man's character and musical career based on a few lines. Making broad and sweeping conclusions about a person, a country, a political party, an ethnic group, political ideologies, economic systems and media outlets based on a tiny sample of those things has never ever happened on this board.

I'd even go a step further to say that someone who doesn't listen to rap would be justified in their fox-news-like assumptions of Common. 98% of what you hear coming from rappers is not only detrimental to society, but extremely ignorant. How would one expect Sean Hannity, a rich white man, to feel about a black rapper?

And for the record, Bill O'reilly hates Eminem with the power of 1,000 suns.
