Anybody on this site and couch surfed/hosted?

experiences...

i think i'll end up doing this a few times throughout the next year as i head to NYC to scope out places to live

so i was just looking for input.

it's basically what it sounds like...if people are coming to your city, you can let them stay on your couch.

I have a very good friend who did this. Some chick wanted to stay at his place. He banged her the first night and they've been together ever since.

i was about to do this when i went to lithuania to visit my friend. she suggested it.

if money was an issue for me, i woulda done it. most of the people who i talked to seemed pretty nice.

i didn't do it however, but overall the concept is a good idea.

i would do it with a friend but not by myself...

i think it's also a good way to get together with someone from where you're going to visit...that way they could show you around and show you what lifeis like there.
