Yes. Multiple. Not really.

Your experience is going to be different from EVERYONE else's because of all the factors at play. Your counselor, the reason you're seeking counseling, the counselor's supervisor, the hospital/practice you're visiting, whether or not you have a history, if you're on prescription...all of those things and more will determine how your counseling experience goes. Everyone's experience is different.

You shouldn't be asking these types of questions on NT.

Whether or not it will help depends on how willing you are to really think about the questions and answer honestly.

If you go in thinking it's stupid and a waste of time and won't work... it won't.

If you go in really wanting someone to help you sort through some things and put some things together, that will happen. It might not even be the best counselor, either, but if you go in w/ a real desire to be helped, you will be.
