What are your thoughts on the CP3 line? Do you think his line has potential to get better or would it be best for him to sticking with retros? I ask because i paid a visit to footlocker today and i took a long hard look at the cement colorway of the latest installment of his line and they started to grow on me (albeit months after they had been already released) and i wanted to know if any other fans of CP3 and The Jordan Brand felt that it would take awhile for the shoes to grow on them.

The only thing CP will be remembered for in regards to sneakers are all the PE's, he should have done what Ray does and just were PE's his whole career. It seems that it almost impossible to have a successful line under JB.

It had potential. The CP3.III is a damn good shoe. I own the Mardi Gras colorway.

weak sauce, unfortunately neither CPIII nor Melo's line has ever really developed and i don't see any promise.  If JB is wrecking his own retro's  how is he going to make something new and exciting? zero innovation in design.

They are all mostly whack, there's a few pairs I like but I would never drop a dime on them. I guess if he is your favorite player than it's a good thing

The younger gen may grow a nostaligic affection towards the line much alike us older folk with the sigs. Aesthetically, I prefer the cp3 line to the melos (post v.5), but i wouldn't actually cop.

I picked up the Mardi Gras colorway in the IIs and the IIIs. I must admit that the line gets better with each outing (unlike the melos)

Paul's first series of signature shoe is the only one worth giving a damn about. That turquoise/white version is sweet. I've only worn mine once. They squeak a lot though. Baby powder might be the solution.

I often wondered do the design team work with the athlete in creating their shoe. I know it isnt easy as some people may think to create a shoe that can stand up to the rigors of basketball as well as look appealing to the eye,but this is several shoes with several different Jordan Brand athletes that this seems to be happening. Derek Jeter has never had a sig that i said "oh those are hot". Melo, after the 5.5 has steadily gone down the tubes. CP3 started off (Ithink) great with his first shoe but then we get his second which really didnt grab me and his third which with the right colorway could make some noise but the overall design doesnt pop out at you and make you say Wow. I often wonder does The Brand listen to feedback from their customers? Because if they did Im almost certain they wouldnt continue to put out the garbage that they do. Lets hope his line is like wine and gets better with time...(please believe i had no intention of making that rhyme...lol). I would hate for the potential of a strong line to go to waste.
