Craigslist Question?

so im looking for a replacement sprint phone, i find a brand new one on craigslist but the guy is in atlanta (im in IL) i called him & he said he could ship it no problem,the phone is brand new ,never been activated & i could make a paypal payment is there anything i should worry about or ask before i do this? ive never did a craigslist transaction that wasnt face 2 face

DO NOT DO IT, you don't know if that phone has a clear esn number. Its a scam

Let me tell you a story.

My boy bought a laptop off of craigslist a couple years ago. It was brand new, never opened. The guy claimed it was purchased as a gift for him, but he had a laptop so he was selling. My boy agreed on purchasing it. He's using it for 2 weeks and he's happy up until the the cops come busting down his door claiming he was using a stolen computer. Now even though he didn't know it was stolen, he was arrested and fined.

Take what you want from this.

If the esn is clearn and you use PAYPAL.. your good. File a claim if you don't have your phone in a week or 2

just talked to sprint & the esn is clean & i also called paypal to make sure i would have a dispute & they said only if i dont get the phone....so if i get it & its not as described they wont do anything....... anybody in the ATL wanna help me out?
