I need to choose between two credit card companies to open an account.
I'm still not sure my credit limit for either if i do get approved.
Will be my second credit card.
Just want to know if anyone has previous experience with either company, Pros?Cons?

Options:

Discovery

-No annual fees
-0% on purchases and balance transfers for 14 months.
-5% cash back Bonus ( year round)

Citi/MasterCard

-"Diamond Preferred Card" (Idk what that means other than more benefits)
-No annual fee
-0% APR on balance transfers and purchases for 9 months.

If you already have one, don't get another one. Unless you are doing a balance transfer for 0% interest for a year and you will pay it off in that time.

Oh you coulda have SWORN that? I was just trying to help. You could have 1 credit card with a 500 dollar limit and another with a 500 dollar limit. Is this "as good" or "better" than having ONE card with $1000 limit? No, its actually worse. Credit companies see multiple cards opened (when you are first starting out) as a bad thing. They see you scrounging for credit and every time you try to open a card they know and it looks bad. I was just trying to help you out and avoid unnecessary debt. But its okay, you could have sworn right? you're the expert right? You're also they guy that is asking Niketalk for help deciding which credit card you should take. Its okay, :rolleyes roll your eyes, because that's these same thing the banks will do to you when you are trying to buy a house in ten years with your multiple credit cards that have gotten out of control. You bad bro, you bad.

Wow, what has happened in this thread with only two people.

It was more of a general statement as oppose to a direct reply to your advice.

Sorry, I felt like I was trying to convince 20 year old me to avoid credit card debt. Its like in Back to The Future 2 when Biff was trying to tell his younger self to buy the Sports Almanac.

i didnt know people even accepted discovery :lol

all i know is visa, american express, and mastercard.

I haven't heard folks refer to it as Discovery in a long time......

Discovery Channel, Discovery Space Shuttle.......Discover Card.

But yeah avoid Credit Card debt, unless you are trying to build credit. Not a fan of this necessary evil.

Pros- You have another credit card

Cons -  Discover - Nobody accepts

Citi - Will screw you and not care.
