economic crisis - banks took bad gambles on mortgages which they called "insurance" but unlike real insurance, this "insurance" wasntbacked by any real money

- now just expand that to 2 pages, throw in some names like lehmans and freddie and fannie, and youre good

All these you can look up on Wikipedia, take some info from it, and still struggle to keep it under 2pages. Get to work.
Its an opinion paper, form an opinion and throw in facts and figures on why you think that way.
