CSULB SOAR Workshop?

I go Monday, what should I expect?

wat is it like Summer Bridge? freshman? EOP?

try to meet as many people mostly females as possible. ya will end up having classes together.

i did soar back in 06, it was just a tour of the campus, pick your classes, then eat. plenty of time to chit chat with the females to get numbers and try tokick it afterwards

Thanks. Sounds like a lot of downtime during the day.

Was traffic/parking bad? I live about 15 minutes away from campus.

oohhh ok, yea, get to meet a lot of girls and exchange numbers. i had mine for CSUDH, u meet a lot of new ppl

Went well, just long and tiring.

Starts at 8, walked to and waited at a room till 9, some speeches were given, broke up into groups and toured campus, went inside another room around 10 till12 to talk, had lunch/took ID picture, went back inside the room at 1, talked some more then registered for classes and got out around 3.

No problem, but it may last longer depending on how long you take to pick your classes. Luckily I also went on the first day of SOAR fortransfers, so there were a good amount of classes still available.

when i went back in 06; breakfast no, lunch yes. just grab something before you get up there

I had a choice of veggie burger/hamburger, chips, cookie and water/soda for lunch.

Definitely talk to as many people and be social from the get go. Those are the people you are going to have classes with. Easy way to make friends fast becauseonce school starts everybody is doing their own thing.
