 I dont mind the meetings about meetings way he goes about things. He is at least really loose, and has a great sense of humor, So he takes as many shots as he dishes out which is cool as hell

^^ I ain't gonna lie, I hate meetings and developed some stress over it. I'm with a bunch of older folks and I always feel like I don't need to be in these meetings because they doesn't concern me directly. It's not like I have a hand at the managerial level, or strategic direction, but they feel like putting in the staff through these meetings.

At times, I'm put on the spot purposely because they know I'm green, but I just let them take their jabs.

After a while though, I didn't really care. I'm just here to do my work, it's not like I have a major stake or profit sharing ties to it.

So apparently it's Happy Boss Day. This woman sends an email to our Technical Manager with everyone in the office CC'd. Saying crap like "I cant believe no has said anything... blah blah... I'll wipe my nose now." Should have told her not to forget her knees and chin...

I work in a govt compliance office (contractor) so I receive a lot of reports, give guidance, help put out fires. Anyway, some ******* responsible for reporting to us told my client and about 10 other higher ups that I was giving him guidance not consistent with the regulations. I'm chillin until I get an email from my boss saying she needs EVERY email I've ever sent. Long story short, I compile everything and show that dude was talking out of his ***. Finally he comes out and says that his staff gave him erroneous information and they couldnt find a single instance that could support the claim. He apologized to the client for the false alarm and everything is "ok." Well, its not. While my name was cleared up with my client, there are still 10 others who will associate my name with a screw up...

You always need to CYA in the real world, and side w/ people that WILL PROTECT YOU. I feel that if I don't have the support from my Supervisor(s), then it's time for me go. Your Boss should protect you, and vice versa. That link will be your ACE.

in my old office on thursdays and fridays after the stock market closed we would all grab beers from the kitchen in our office. naturally my ex boss would pick up a bottle of vodka mid-day and a diet coke and mix the two and drink at like 330, he always offered to my co-worker but never to me (i wasn't interested in drinking it anyway), i later left that job and realized how big of a scum he was.

Consistant things I've seen that bother me.


1) There's two dudes that bring toothpaste and brush to work. Whenever I'd piss, I'd often run into this manager that brushes w/ colgate. He'll actually look at me, and talk to me w/ his foaming mouth!

2) There's a few paper molester and lickers out there. By that, I mean there are those jerks that grab your paper in the copier room on purpose to wrinkle the edges and make it look rough. I'm particular, so I actually reprint! Often times, I'll see a co-worker grab the stack of paper and sort it out w/ the 'lick a thumb' for grip ordeal. SO GROSS!

on how to take a print screen AND where to find MS paint on their computer.

this is a mf'er making like 100k+ a year and doesnt know how to do sht smh. theres another dude on my team who literally does NOTHING but send out a report via email once a week and is getting liek 80-90k a year. this company is all f'ed up.

hahahahaha just the mental picture of a dude sitting at his desk with a headset on all wired in, super focused and playing CS is very humorous to me.

i downloaded the software to play online poker at work. you know what feels better than taking a nice sized pot on online poker? knowing that you are getting paid to sit there and make money at poker. its like a double come up. i always joke about that with my buddy that i will be playing with. Yea... I just won $100 this session, but if you take into account the 4 yrs that I was playing instead of doing work, its really like i came up $250. BOOM!

I work with a group of federal employees 6-8 months out of the year....these are all senior level workers (lowest, GS13, mostly 15's, a few SES') and it's bewildering the questions they would ask about the most basic thing....how to search something on the internet, how to copy and paste from an excel file into an email. Then when i actually looked up and saw how much these tards make....i now understand why some people think government needs to be reduced.
