Custom KD VI Questions and Ideas

So One of my friends gave me his KD VIs for free but they are trashed!! He managed to chip off half of the midsole paint so I want to paint over midsole and probably the rest of the shoe. So here's what I know about custom painting shoes.

-Angelus Paint (any good prices for 1oz?)
-Use acetone to get the manufacturer's finish off
-Go slowly and do 3-5 coats depending on color and 15 mins in between coats

Here are my questions
What paintbrushes should I use
Any Ideas for the shoe(there are no bad ones but no more than 3-4 color pls)
Any tips for painting the shoe.
What type of painters tape should I use?
Any things I missed
