In the ''underground scene'' collabos between the artists from PR & US had already been done. Just go and listen to the album Boricua Guerrero First Combat...

Daddy Yankee aka Winchester Yankee ''El 30-30'' did a song with Nas, etc. etc. etc.

If you ask me, Reggaeton should have been considered ''mainstream'' before ''Gasolina'' and ''Oye Mi Canto''.

Produced by DJ Blass

barro fino da OG is probably da closest thing to a masterpiece in da reggaeton genre you'll get..followed by Wisin y Yandel Mundial

In my humble opinion, there's more than just 2 albums that are considered Masterpieces in the Reggaeton genre...

what im sayin is straight production, lyrics, girth, just the whole complete package wise Barrio fino is probably top 3 reggaeton albums of all time.

let's keep it all the way 100 B, most reggaeton albums before Barrio Fino were glorified compilation albums...

Barrio fino step up da whole reggaeton genre as far as album excellence.

last don & da 1st tego are reggaeton's mount Rushmore, but they not touchin barrio fino.

those 2 albums felt like da building up to da eventual climax that was barrio fino.

2003-2005 was just a great time musically.
