Where is all this talk of building a championship contender and being a winner come from? Lillard team is winning games right now he also has three guy playing at an all star caliber... He's also a shoot first PG and he also plays NO defense.... the only thing guiding this argument right now it the amount of wins he's notched so far but Him & Kyrie are in the same league

I'm not a stat man but that is very telling of who is an actual point guard and who is just trying to get buckets. PG shooting numbers don't matter as much when their actually playing point guard and not shooting 15+ times every game. I think ur from Cleveland tho so I see y that offended u finally famous

You can't be serious Kyrie is considered the worst defender in the NBA

There was a stat last year that showed Lillard's opponents had the highest per against him out of all point guards on the defensive end that qualify.

Every quantifiable stat that exists for defense has Lillard as the worst in almost all categories. And the sad part is it's not like he isn't putting in effort, I just don't understand it. It's one thing to be lazy like Harden but to give it your all and still suck is depressing. True Steve Nash status :{

When people have their potential compared to Iverson that's always a red flag for me, because you'd have to be better than Iverson to win a championship playing that way, and he was one of the most talented and relentless players I've ever seen.

If that makes sense.

Basically, his is not a model you want to follow in terms of your career/playstyle.  Neither is Kobe really.

kind of agree, you dont want your star player trying to be kobe because there is a 99% chance that he's not kobe but i dont mind having a guy come off the bench thinking that he's kobe as long as the coach is able to control it.

but anytime your leading scorer is a volume shooter under 6'2 then its a sign that your team is not going anywhere

This is like a kobe vs tmac debate in 03

Both can give you the same results but one just has a better team

cool stats but it was his first year adjusting to play defense on a NBA level.

On everything.

Kyrie is special. He's a better overall player than Damian. Damian has a chance to catapult himself past Kyrie this season though.
