Dave’s Hot Chicken ! - Thread

Getting my car serviced. There’s a new DHC down the street from the dealership. Have never tried it. Might give it a try.

People still line up for Howling Rays?

Haven't heard that name in a few years.

yeah, but nothing crazy. they're on postmates now so you can order for pick up - helps with the in-store line. they always hook you up with stuff in-store so the customer service experience is worth it if you got some time.

they just opened one in las vegas at the venetian.

Actually yeah. I need the NT review.

Chicken big as hell though, get your money worth at least on Fulton, taste wise, I'm taking my talents to Smashburger next door.

Went to Howling Rays around 6 pm on a weekday. Line was manageable and as daruma daruma mentioned the customer service was A1.

Tried the hottest flavor on a dare and...never again  The workers gave me advice on handling the heat too. S/o to them.

If yyou’re in SoCal, and able to, Howlin >

And from my experience, Dave’s varies from location to location.

Dave's Hot Chicken popped up over here in the Boston area I live in.

I had a slider + the chicken tenders + cheese fries combo

I give it a 7/10. Good flavor but the restaurant itself smells like a gym locker room. Terrible smell inside.

Would recommend it, for sure

I tried their stuff one time out in Vegas. Wasn’t really feeling it. They just opened a location near my area.

it's alright, they cater to a certain demogrpahic
Younger crowd. Youth I work with prefer Dave's and there's a Popeyes across the street
Maybe a Cali NTer can answer if the lines are still lingering out there.
Lines are long grand opening week. But after a month it's hella dead. It's expensive. 2 slider meal and drink is 20$>. With a shake it's 30+

dave's is okay.. better than raisin canes for sure.

tried Dave's a couple weeks ago and it was SUPER mid. I dont get the hype at all fam. Hattie B's is lightyears better.

It’s all competition, just seen they got two locations in Texas. If Im ever out in Dallas or Austin I’ll give them a try.

Finally tried it out this afternoon. Got the 2 tenders meal and opted for the mac n cheese instead of fries.

The taste is definitely different (for me at least) from your traditional tenders at other places. I got them in medium spice level (cashier said medium spice is equivalent to Hot Cheetos).

Verdict: Nothing that will blow you away, but will fill you up nicely. I was satisfied.
