Batman v Superman allegedly got a standing ovation Technically I’m sure it happened if only 3 ppl were in the theater and the 3rd person got peer pressured into standing and applauding. Then the leaks will come letting us know the actual plot and we’ll get diehard fan reactions

Got around to reading this. Gunn just might be cooked
His slate, this rollout, just not good enough. I don’t see it.
Man of Tomorrow is going to have to be like Winter Soldier/Black Panther good to turn the tide and it’ll have to make box office money like Homecoming/Ragnarok/Multiverse of Madness at least to get his contract extended to finish this Gods & Monsters thing he had planned.

It seems like he should’ve been brought in to do Superman movies but the vision and strategy for the whole DCU was shakey. I’d love it if Warner Bros could trick off Superman, Wonder woman, Batman, Flash and Green Lantern movies.

Gunn ain’t it, period. Superman was “ok but still enjoyable” at best. Not bashing the movie, but for everything good came something bad or down right head scratching.
I’ll stand by giving him a crack at Batman before a major move is made, but The Batman is killing the timeline.
With a Jimmy Olsen series in the works….. yikes. They gotta fast track Batman somehow. A 3 year release date ain’t gonna do it

You’ve had the head of DC studios be very outspoken with fans in regards to what’s coming and whether what was being reported was wrong or right.
He announced a whole slate for what would be his first chapter of his shared universe that they either had to cancel movies or pivot off of. Also was very loud about not rushing/putting out movies unless the scripts were good/solid, and Supergirls was not at all.
It’s going to be encompassing because of how much the brand has struggled to put out solid/good movies with such big IP’s that ppl have been looking forward to.

Let’s not pretend there isn’t disingenuous hate for this movie. Beta boy rage clips are instant money makers. I’m convinced many that **** on the movie didn’t even watch it. The proof is in the review bombs that came in before the movie even officially dropped.
With that said, the Odyssey is about to take that hate spot. Won’t even go into why. Those people will have their new target

12 extra minutes that caused that version to test WORSE at their screenings? What the hell was in those 12 minutes that caused this film to actually seem worse than what actually hit theaters? I’m honestly curious here…
Meanwhile, we keep saying this same ****, but I fully believe Lanterns and Man of Tomorrow are dead in the water. WB needs to just put the breaks on the whole thing for a while
…Been failing almost consistently since Dawn of Trash got released…AM and WW kind of put hope on the table, but it’s pretty obvious WB doesn’t know how to effectively build a connected universe…They really need a come to Jesus moment, but if Supergirl wasn’t that, then what actually would do it for them?

Obsession performing like that is kinda rare. I heard someone say one of the only kinda recent movies to keep having bigger box office weekends after it's opening weekend is Greatest Showman. No idea if that's true.

dc needs to stop with this connected universe attempts. theyre not marvel. go back to having individual franchises and stop trying to connect super heroes stories. campy gunn wasnt the right choice to run the show. always felt dc had a darker overall tone than marvel. they should focus on more serious grounded stories. gunn needs to stay away from any iteration of batman.
