Wouldn't surprise me if SS2 released next year. It seems like it's been quietly running smoothly behind the scenes. Margot was mentioning meeting with Gavin O'Connor not that long ago.
Don't know how legit it is, but I remember reading something about the Squad hunting down Harley and Joker. Which sounds waaay better than the Enchantress plot from the first one. Then there was that rumor that Black Adam was going to cameo in SS2.

That would make the most sense. There was a list of character descriptions that made it seem like Black Adam was in it, but got debunked by the director.
