But yes, Wade is on the decline. If you look at his career, he never really got better or added anything new to his game. With age and injuries, you have to be able to add new elements that will give you longevity. He never developed a long range shot, never patent his mid-ranger, never developed a real post-game, and with LeBron basically taking his old role he never developed any catch-and-shoot ability.

You questioned his commitment to his game and his conditioning. You're basically saying he doesnt take it seriously anymore. Quite the accusation if you ask me.
Has he fallen off? Probably. That could be due to a number of things. First off hes playing with the best player in the world. He's also older. He also has a lot of mileage over his career. Maybe, just maybe he's dealing with injuries we dont know about. Or maybe he just is declining very rapidly. Who knows.
And thats the point, we don't know. And for you for question his commitment and respect for the game just because you see a few pics of him out with Gabrielle Union every now and then is dumb.

I don't know why, but his mid-range game was money from the year he won his first championship up until about the year he won the scoring title. The last few years it seems like his jumpshot has regressed to where it was when he first got into the league.

Agree with everything except the underlined. His points per post up last season was better than Joe Johnson's & Kobe's and comparable to Paul Pierce's. He has a solid post game.
He didn't go to it that often before Lebron's arrival because he would always get doubled.

This is completely wrong. Wade has developed immensely throughout the years. He has developed a decent mid-range jumper, has a great post game, and is one of the most efficient offensive players in the league. Wade is also probably the best post up player on the Miami Heat. It's not his role to catch and shoot the ball. The Miami Heat have plenty of shooters for that type of play.
Last season the Miami Heat made a concerted effort to tailor the offense around LeBron James. Bosh and Wade are secondary players and they have been very successful playing that way. Wade sacrificed his game to let LeBron shine so they could win the Championship. Why is this so difficult to comprehend?
And for those that say Wade is big headed and selfish... BLAH BLAH BLAH!! What NBA superstar do you know that is willing to sacrifice their stats and shine for the good of the team????

This is true, but Wade has done that for years. He does not have the motor of a LeBron James. That is what separates the two and what makes LeBron who he is. From a larger perspective one can conclude that he might be pacing himself. If that's the case, whose to say what he's doing is wrong? Its all about winning Championships for the Miami Heat. And if Coach Pop and the Spurs have taught us anything is that the regular season doesn't really matter for the elite teams.
It's a long, long season and the grind of a regular season takes its tole. Ideally I look see Wade and the Miami Heat to hit their stride coming into the All-Star break. Wade will be there when it counts.

They were saying YEARS ago when he was younger that his style of play wouldn't lead to a long career. The fact that he's sustained multiple injuries and he's about to turn 31 in January...is it really that hard to fathom that he isn't the same?

True, his knee is still affecting him....if DRose doesn't adjust after his acl injury I could see him with a similar career trajectory, and he's smaller than Wade...hope he stays healthy though.....they were saying he started training with Bron and well, Bron is a machine made by the same people who developed Megatron and Adrian Peterson

Argue my points. Do try to dismiss my point of view because I am from Miami. I never said I completely agree with the fact that Wade picks and chooses his spots. I pointed out reasons he may be pacing himself. Like I said, he's coming off of knee surgery and an injured foot. It would be wise to pick and choose your spots if you weren't 100% healthy. You say he is shooting horribly, yet I already pointed out he's shooting greater than 47% for the season.
I do agree that he hasn't been as sharp or the most consistent, but that's normal during an 82 game season. No player is great every night. He had the same kind of start last season and in seasons in the past... He'll be just fine.
Who do you think is a better SG in the Eastern conference or in the league for that matter? Since when is 19 points a game bad after 17 games with 3 other all-stars on your team? Is shooting a little over 47% from the field horrible shooting? You tell me...
He is doing it by choice, but the choice wasn't all on him. After the loss in 2011, the Miami Heat's coaching staff consulted with Wade and the rest of the team and it was decided that Wade would play a secondary role. Clearly it did not work with 2 alpha players. Its not rocket science when you have the most complete players in the game's history on your team be the main guy. Wade could easily be scoring 25 points a game if he were "the man", but why should he be. The same can be said for Bosh as well. The "Big 3" have all sacrificed parts of their games to win Championships.

On point... Its definitely a mix of age, injuries, & turning it on & off. I think he'll show up come playoffs, but throughout the regular season he definitely picks & chooses when he turns it up. Its understandable he's not the same player he was when he was younger, especially with the way he threw his body around game after game, but the intensity & heart vary game to game right now.

I don't think I can form an great opinion since I don't watch to much Heat basketball. But I was just pointing out some of these ridiculous numbers people throw out there. I know you copied and pasted so not trying to call you out.
Wade is in shape, but he always used to play so reckless and get hurt I can see that being an issue. But from what I have seen from when I watch the game I don't think it is as much of a conditioning problem as it is him trying to act like a diva on the court. Dude used to be tough but now has taken on the attitude of someone who wants every call. Take this opinion with a grain of salt though, just basing it off the small number of games I have seen him play in the last year.
