I was still a kid around that time so I never understood the hype but wasn't that Y2K?
And if so, Y2K didn't hype about huge natural disasters right? So why would this be greater than 2012?

This kinda stuff scares me LOL! Makes me wanna do irresponsible things like have babies and spend money on random +@%$ that I always wanted just so I can say I did it before the world ended.

I had a history professor my freshman year that told us that the Mayan calendar was wrong, and according to their calendar 2012 was really 2008.
I don't believe that either, just something to think about.

Ya, I had to take a class on the Maya and the professor apparently was like a super-expert on it. When nothing happens, I don't want the world saying the Maya were wrong and thus unimportant.
