Katrina couldn't have been prevented smart guy, it was a hurricane. They(*$% ups afterward could have been.

I think he was trying to say that the Oklahoma City Bombing and Hurricane Katrina were the worst to happen, and, separately, 9/11 could have beenavoided. Either that or he meant that 9/11 and the OK bombing could have been prevented, while Katrina's response could have been better. Obviouslyhurricanes aren't manmade.

I forgot about the Native Americans
A lot of people have. It's an embarrassment, but I don't think it's the worst thing to have happened to this country. The GreatDepression was pretty bad, but I still don't think it's the worst yet. Internment camps and the government's frequent infringement of civilliberties/rights come to mind.

-The great depression
-Hurricane Katrina
-Iraq

Just to name a few. I still think 9/11 was an inside job, imo.

And to open this up to an even bigger stage, what about the worst thing in world history?

Mine are(in no particular order)
-Religion
-The Holocaust
-People(ruining every thing this planet has)

I get offended when you say religion.... What about Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Zedong and the tens of millions of lives that were lost? And to me it seems likemost religious wars were really more about ethnicity and power than religion.

Anyway, like what sir hendrix said, it's a shame what has happened to the Native Americans.

i agree with SunDoobie about Pearl Harbor because it propelled us into WW II and had we not entered when we did then we might be under a new order today. Thefact is that Russia and England were th only ones holding back Germany and they were failing miserable with Germany having seized control of so manyterritories.

Besides Pearl Harbor lead to the A bomb being eventually being dropped so it doesn't get any worse then that.

You would find what Russell Means, an activist from the Lakota nation that is in the process of seceding from the US, has to say about the government's infringement of civil liberties. He contends, among many other things, that the US government has been using the Native Americans as a model for the rest of the population. He's a very knowledgeable person and the story of the Lakotas that is being covered all over the world, but never mentioned here, is very interesting.

BTW, aren't reservations basically internment camps?
