Lakers forward Ron Artest plans to auction his championship ring for the benefit of mental-health awareness.

"I'm never going to put it on," he said.

Artest plans to soon announce details of what he hopes will become aworldwide auction. He, along with his Los Angeles teammates, willreceive the ring on Oct. 26 in a pre-game ceremony before the teamopens the season against the Rockets.

"You work so hard to get a ring, and now you have a chance to helpmore people than just yourself, instead of just satisfying yourself,"he said. "What's better than that? For me, this is very important."

Naw, not really, just went for the easy chuckle really. 

 

I don't hate LeBron, his fans maybe, but not Bron himself.  But I always enjoy calling him out for his failings, probably because I know his fans will always be there to make excuses for him.  I imagine it's much the same for Bron fans that hate Kobe and his fans.  It's what sports is, rivalry and what not.  *shrugs*
