disneyland is better than universal imo mainly because universal only offers like 3 rides (Simpsons, The Mummy and Jurassic Park [all great rides btw]). Though the lines are a lot shorter at universal, you'll probably have more fun with rides at disneyland (Indiana Jones, grizzly, spacemountain, both toystory rides, matterhorn, etc).

I'd choose Disneyland. Universal is okay, but I think Disneyland has much more to offer. I remember when I went to Disneyland and Universal last year orthe year before and Universal was only like half a days worth. You can easily spend one or two full days at Disneyland.
