If this was really the case, there would be a lot of midgets walking around in the U.S. You know how many lifters take caffeinated drinks before lifting?

Your friend that is 5'2 would be that height regardless if he drank 2 gallons of coffee and lifted 5 times a week.

Coffee does the body no good at all.
But lifting weights stunting growth? Thats a first.

Lifting weight would only do significant damage to your height if you're young. Like pre-teen to 15.

Yep. That's why gyms require your parents' consent if you're under 18.

Coffee is good for you, just not in excess of course. And by coffee I mean regular coffee, not served with loads of sugar, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, andother things that Starbucks serves you.

This.

Studies show that powerlifter's on average have 30% denser bone structure (don't flame me if that number is incorrect, it was in Men's Healthawhile ago)
And as for caffeine, i'm not sure that its effects are detrimental as one of the leading workout supplements, NO-XPLODE by BSN, is chock full of the stuff

I'm too lazy to check to see if this is in those links, but I've read somewhere that drinking two cups of coffee a day decreases yourchances of getting Alzheimer's.

I'll stay drinking coffee, I don't want no mad cow..... Word to Denny Crane.
