I had a done some drinking at my gf's college and a friend of ours got sick from alcohol poisoning so we took her to the emergency room. we stayed in theemergency room for 3 hours so i was completely fine once we were able to leave the hospital. it was raining that night and i couldn't see a one-way sign onthe street i made a turn onto. it was about 2am in the quiet town so there was no oncoming traffic (not trying to make excuses) and immediately i was pulledover by 4 police cars. i explained to the officer that all i was trying to do was get everyone home safely after what had happened to our friend. i was givenfield sobriety tests (all passed) and a breathalizer (0.05, intoxicated is 0.08 in VA). the officer gave me a ticket for reckless driving for making themistake of turning onto a one-way street in the pouring rain and being in an unfamiliar area.

this was in fredericksburg, va
