People that become police are the kids that were picked on when they were little and are trying to prove something by abusing their power. This video just addsto my opinion on that situation.

That kid didn't know the obvious basics.

1. Do not talk to police.

2. Always ask "Am I free to go, Officer?" If so, then go on and leave.

3. If not, you're being detained, say "I'm going to remain silent. I would like to see a lawyer."

4. Don't give an attitude. Don't give police a reason, you'll just lose. Be cool.

5. Police can frisk the outside of your clothes for weapons. You have the right to say, "Officer, I'm not resisting. I do not consent to this search." Verbally refuse, not physically. Refusing a search request is not an admission of guilt and does not give the officer the legal right to search or detain you. In fact, most avoidable police searches don't occur because police have probable cause. They occur because people get tricked or intimidated into consenting to search requests. The 4th Amendment protects your right to refuse search requests, but you must clearly state your refusal for the protection to legally apply.

6. You are not required by law to carry any identification, but may have to identify yourself to police in certain states. Police need reasonable suspicion to detain you. To tell if they have reasonable suspicion is to determine if you're free to go. Ask, "Officer, are you detaining me, or am I free to go?" Repeat, if necessary.

This is a good video of a inline skater encountering police

that vid was crazy...i thought dude was gonna get tased for sure talkin to them cops like that

dude was annoying. i understand where dude was going and what not. but he was hella annoying especially towards the end.

Didn't look that serious, If it was a cop in NYC they would've been maced/tazed. I was once thrown in Central Bookings for smoking a cigarette in thetrain station and i wasn't even behind the gates. I was standing outside taking my last 2 pulls getting ready to swipe in and boom an officer got in myface out of no where, some would even say it was very ninja like.

I woulda been pissed at those bystanders if I was a kid who got a ticket...esp if the cop was going to let me go initially.

whatever though... I don't see too much wrong with the vid...both sides in pissing matches... but when you're in a pissing match with a cop....he'sgonna peg you if you're out of line by a hair.

the kid messed up. he shouldnt have talked back to the cop, especially calling the cop a *!!%!#+ @#@#.

SMH...!#!!%%*.

One one hand, excellent execution of tax payer money. (Sarcasm) On other hand, kid ASKED for it. Two wrongs.

why do you feel this way?

He must be morbidly obese...those people hate everything athletic

you can't blame the cop though. He was fair to the kid. Kids need to show respect. Skate all you want but don't be surprised if you dont' know howto handle authority when it comes your way.

The only thing I can say about the cop is that he should have read his miranda rights, maybe he did it when the video was cut and we didn't see it, butthose kids deserved it.

If the dude is offering to help you and all you can do is curse at him, he's human too and he will respond accordingly.

Dude was being rational as well. I can't fault him. The skateboarder was in the wrong here...

and i'm liberal minded individual.
