Money aside, I'm with you to a certain extent.  However, you and I both know that Albert is in Shanahan  doghouse, and Shanahan is doing a good job of making Albert look like the bad guy in the media and fans eyes.  I'm glad Albert stood up for himself and called out the coaching staff, for all we know Fat Albert may very well have that medical condition that he described.  Of course by Shanahan saying he missed practice due to a headache, it makes Albert seem like he is not able to practice due to something so minor.

******** players faced a volley of questions again Monday about Albert Haynesworth's ongoing tiff with Coach Mike Shanahan, and the subject is clearly among their least favorite.

"At some point, you got to stop going back and forth with it," outside linebacker Lorenzo Alexander said. "But I think Albert has been doing a good job until then; just a bad judgment call on his part, as far as forcing it out. You can't go back and forth in the media with this type of thing.

Quarterback Donovan McNabb, wearing a protective boot earlier on his left foot, attended practice but did not wear pads and did not participate in the portion open to media. He'd traded his boot for what appeared to be a protective air cast.

Fullback Mike Sellers also did not appear to be participating, and receiver Malcolm Kelly was again working on the side.

Safety Kareem Moore was not present, and Reed Doughty appears to be the early favorite to take his spot atop the depth chart.

Free safety Kareem Moore (knee) could be sidelined four-to-six weeks, so the ******** on Monday signed veteran safety Tyrone Carter.

Although Carter could help on special teams and provide secondary depth, either Reed Doughty or Chris Horton will work with the first-team defense as the ******** prepare to face the New York Jets on Friday at New Meadowlands Stadium. Horton and Moore each started at strong safety last season, "but I know I can play both," Horton said. "They're definitely interchangeable. "We're working for that," McNabb said Wednesday after practice at ******** Park. "I think I possibly have a chance. Absolutely. But we'll see. We'll see."

McNabb sat out practice this week after suffering the injury in last week's 23-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens at FedEx Field. On Tuesday, head coach Mike Shanahan ruled McNabb out of Friday's game against the New York Jets at New Meadowlands Stadium.

Shanahan said it is doubtful McNabb would play in the preseason finale Sept. 2 against the Arizona Cardinals.

As expected, Willie didn't do much. We rattled Sanchez alot of times and Haynesworth show burst. DHall our only playmaker in that secondary

Outside the TD Catch vs the Bills...No. He should make it regardless because no body out side of Moss and Armstrong has done much either.

My predictions would be
Moss, Galloway, Armstrong, Thomas, Austin.

Malcolm Kelly came back today from injury to practice again...only to get injured again.

1st round of Cuts is tommorow....the 2nd round which trims the roster to 53 is Monday next week.

Usually I try to be very positive (and the feeling lasts for at least the beginning of the season) however it's hard this season when you see such poor defense and low momentum. Guess we really shouldn't have expected much though in the 1st year of the new regime hmm.

Skins are looking HORRIBLE. I don't see a sure-bet win in the next 5 games. They'll be lucky to go into the bye with 2 wins. There just isn't enough talent on both sides of the ball to make everything work.

Whether anything is brewing for Haynesworth is not known, but the National Football Post has learned the ******** are actively working to trade another underachiever. A league source said that the ******** have been shopping seldom-used wide receiver Devin Thomas.

A second-round pick from Michigan State in 2008, Thomas has been relegated primarily to special teams duty through the team’s first four games. He can’t catch a break to get on the field on offense, and the ******** have been looking around at what is out there, bringing in free agents Keenan Burton and Demetrius Williams for workouts just last week.

It’s not known what kind of price tag the ******** have placed on Thomas, but Washington is the team placing calls when it comes to him, the source said.


Don't know if this is a legit site to get news, but I'm not surprised to see it...don't think anyone around the league would give something good in return and he's doing well a kickoff returns at least.

I don't agree with how Shanahan handled the whole Devin Thomas situation. There is no way you can tell me that he isn't better than Joey Galloway, Roydell Williams, or Anthony Armstrong. This is a case of Shanny's ego being > team needs. Skins severely lack a 2nd WR. I'm not saying Thomas would have been the answer, but I would have liked to have seen him get a shot. Sure he's had his ups and downs, but if this guy turns out to be a 800-900 yard WR down the line...this is really going to come back and bite the Skins in the butt. He has shown flashes of what he can do. Someone had an agenda against the kid. I honestly wish him the best and I hope he tears %$$% up with whatever team he goes to next....he deserved better.

An incident during a meeting in the preseason probably did not help Thomas improve his standing with the Shanahans.

As Thomas slept in the meeting, rookie wideout-punt returner Brandon Banks used his cell phone to take a picture of Thomas. Banks then transmitted the picture via Twitter. After team officials informed Shanahan of what occurred, Banks quickly deleted the picture from his Twitter account.

Could that have been a contributing factor to Thomas's release?

"I'm not really sure," Thomas said. "I mean, you know, if I shouldn't have been [sleeping] ... it looks bad for both sides. If I'm sleeping or him have a phone in the meeting ... I wouldn't say that's something you'd hold against a competitor.

"That's not something you'd hold against someone playing football and trying to make plays. But it doesn't even really matter now. That's in the past and they made their decision, so it's not something that matters."

I agree with you (that he should have gotten a shot and that Shanny is being Shanny) but Devin Thomas really isnt that good he should have never been drafted as high as he was.

I agree with you (that he should have gotten a shot and that Shanny is being Shanny) but Devin Thomas really isnt that good he should have never been drafted as high as he was.

Yeah...he was a 1 year wonder at MSU, and he was raw....but the most frustrating thing out of it all is how poorly Vinny used those 3 2nd round picks...
