It doesn't hurt. It'll just sting for about 20-30 minutes, but it's not so bad.
Make sure you clean it every day/night until it's fully healed, because you don't want to end up with a huge lump on your ear.
It's recommended to keep your earrings on for about 4-6 weeks. I switched my earrings after about 4 or 5 weeks, though. I always have them on.
BTW, earrings are dope.

I got mines done about two years ago, it stung once they used the nail gun for like 3 seconds. Yeah, make sure you clean it every day/night, I left mines in for like three-four months. It closed on me one time though, I had to ask my mom to do it old school style to open em back again.

They're correct though, only get your right ear pierced and also your nose and belly. And the pain is pretty horrid, I rather get a tattooed on my eyes than getting another piercing.Originally Posted by SpeakUp23

Got both ears pierced last year, didn't hurt for me. I think I went 5 weeks before taking out the starters but they were a b!#^% to take out.

Had both lobes done with a gun for a while now, just got my cartilage done with a needle yesterday. Make sure you go to a place that uses needles instead of guns; it's better for you supposedly plus it was pretty much painless to me.
