Never got them in my life. My friend tells me that you have a better chance of finding money equal to the lotto than actually winning the lottery.
So why bother?

I don't but my parents do every now and then. When I was little my parents won $500 from a scratch card, that was the best x-mas ever.

The Poor Man's Tax
I made a vow to myself before I was even of age to NEVER buy one. Been going on 8 years and the thought has never crossed my mind. It's legalized gambling, and it benefits no one.

gambling is legal though.. well around here at least... portland has so many poker machines in bars and strip clubs...
yup i do.... everytime i stop by the a store to get a drink or whatever and have a $1 or $2 left over i just get some quick pick mega millions... i would be life changing what a $1 could do

I play with a pool of 14 people at my job. We all put up a $1 a week, I figured since it only a dollar it won't hurt.

i don't think it's worth it ... especially when you add up all the $$$ you spend and lose over the years ... if people would put that away ...
but b/c people do win ... most of us continue to buy ... i've maybe played 5x in my life ... and i think that is too much

You don't win if you don't buy one. I just buy one and just wait for the numbers, I haven't been close but I firmly believe that I'll get lucky one day.

Save that money you spending on lotto tickets and use that to invest in something you have better control over
