depends if we're talking about the hayden christensen anakin.
he was such a bad actor in those movies.  his character was so whiny and emo.

the movie goku wasn't that nice either.

a more entertaining matchup would be yajirobe versus a group of ewoks.

This thread sucks. But there's still time to save it. Make it Darth Vader versus Goku from the piccolo saga in Dragonball. Now you have something.

Oh and when was Anakin able to see the future? Someone please school me.

Okay we get it, it is known that Voldemort has Horcruxes; but that's beside the point. You'd also have to look past that. In a battle without weapons, I strongly feel DV would win hands down, and I think we can all come down to an agreement, that both DV and LV would quickly disarm one another. In my opinion this is from my point of view. I'm from both parties. I love SW and HP. I do, and knowing the capability I think I can sum up to how I'd be able to view it. Think about it being one-on-one and not with some sort of backup, army, or what have you.

TO ME, It is very possible that LV could disapparate out of habit. The question is, WHERE TO? If he were to aparate to the same general area then DV would feel the force moving right? If we were to "assume" that DV is real, then the force would also be real, and DV is very in tune to the force, which is disturbed or changed (whatever) by every living creature's thought and movement. The only place for LV to aparate that he could get away from DVs hold, would be away from DV. And in time, I would think to say say LV would be a dweeb if he stayed and fought. LVs only chance to winning would be a well aimed/well timed AK at Darth before a fight ensued. And since we all know LV (and DV for that matter) ENJOY TAUNTING his opponents (i.e. the ones he finds worthy), he would make his mistake in not just aiming as soon as he heard the breath from DVs helmet.

-Yes, the Force does have a limited range (it's true), but it is not nearly so limited as people might think. If DV were to concentrate hard enough, DV could cause some pretty serious damage from afar, and most likely far, far away. But nobody really is clear to how far at that, because how I see it and view it is, different things have different ranges. Everyone here keeps bringing up the whole Lightsaber, and wands bs, but we all know DV doesn't need a damn lightsaber; HE DOES NOT. Everyone knows DV would not really need need it in order to kill someone. Obviously he could choke him, pinch of an artery leading to his brain, in this case, LV would honestly not be able to stop. Then following into the snapping of LVs neck, Force-push him into something (what ever) all with the Force. VADER doesn't necessarily have to even move a muscle, and he certainly doesn't have to say anything or even really to defend himself, as seen with Han in Empire Strikes Back. If DV wanted to though, he can be able to throw it with the Force.

-Nevertheless, with speaking of and about an accio lightsaber. That would NOT really help much in the end of this battle. Because of my reasons stated above, moreover since DV can do the same crap, WITHOUT words. DV can contunually get it back or honestly just stop it before LV could ever get it from him. It is a known fact he WILL know before it even happened (with the similarity of apparation) LV doesn't have any kind of precognition, at least so far as we've viewed or maybe it is just me. The blocking of spells.. I am and would not be so sure if a saber can even block spells.. DV would have two options perhaps, block with the Force (which IS possible, I.E Darth Tyrannus and Yoda) AND could, may, and have some affect on LV's ability to %+!! with DV's and being able to avoid or get away from that him.

oldemort is MAGIC.

Magic is often regarded as a narrative-level power. That would simply chang the world in specific, certain, ways without mucking around with the causality. (we all know that is not true either) We do know, magic is a very perplexing process. I.E a deliberate science in universes where it works. Also something that is focused, analyzed, and possibly takes years to learn. Cool we got that covered.

Potterverse (aka the universe of Harry Potter) magic:
Magic, corresponds to inherited traits. Y'know, exact genetics that are NOT well-understood and seem to be more complex than a single recessive gene, as demonstrated by muggle-born wizards etc. Magic is focused. Almost every activity is done in a certain way, using certain tools. Not really flexible. Magic is mental. The minds can be warped by magic. In fact, minds can be made by magic, allowing for autonomous spell effects with their own judgment. Magic is very well understood. The cause and effect are properly charted for even the most secret techniques. I.E The prophecy is very rare. Finally, Magic is structured. Spells do what they do, yes. And may change the user, but there is no evidence and no moral dimension to their use. And It's very good at illusions and shapechanging.

-NOW-

Vader: THE FORCE.
It is often regarded as being psionics. And is somehow more scientific and less able to break the rules. But IMO the only thing that is scientific about psionics is the vast array of tests that have never produced any results. And we all know what fictional Force consists of right?

The Force is inherited and corresponds to (shudder) midichlorians in the body. ( If you don't know what that is, it is basically microscopic life-forms that reside within the cells of all living things and communicate with the Force) The Force is kinetic. It boosts the strength of the body and allows action at a distance. The Force is mental. It allows the force (of will) to dominate others. The Force is mystical. It conveys moment to moment knowledge of the future, often quite a bit in advance. It is known that obviously IT IS NOT SOMETHING SPECIAL but every blow of a lightsaber is guided by knowledge of the future. The Force is aspected. It conforms to somewhat to and of the personality of the user and reinforcing that. I.E evil user will turn more evil. Last but not least, the ability to warp living beings. With the exceptions that the only evidence of this is Palpatine (also known as Darth Sidious) I just don't really remember or sure if this was using illusions or just simply hurting himself very badly against Mace Windu.

With that being said, the outcome comes down to shapeshifting and wards versus foresight and physical strength. Wards are no good against someone with foresight...you can not set a trap for someone who knows it's coming. With that being said, there would not be really an argument because then that means that this fight or battle would immediately turn into some lightsaber vs a ridiculous giant snake. Why? BECAUSE the other advantages from both parties would and have been canceled out. And let us be real here: If you have to turn into a giant snake, you already know you have already lost the fight. But that is my thought.

Do you guys really think the force is strong enough to hold goku down?

Watch a Star wars movie, and then watch a SSj DBZ battle...

I'm a die hard Jedi fan, and star wars nerd, but the power of DBZ characters is unmatched in any other series.
