some managers tend to be very salty when it comes to students working for them though, since the manager isn't educated he/she doesn't see school as a priority and at times will refuse to make any sort of compromise when it comes to working with a school schedule even if you go out of your way to make it work so that the schedule works with work, those managers can choke my chicken for all i care.
that's the type of manager I meant when I said "crap"...but I guess people thought I said "the nicest manager that's caring and understanding" why would i make a thread on "styling on" a manager that's obviously nice and easygoing to you? lol...this is for the one's that give you hell for no reason.

oh well

workin at retail has its pros and cons
just find a better job with better benefits or pay, whatever you like
and do your thing.

soon as you walk across that stage with your degree, are you going to walk in work and throw it in your manager's face? not like in a mean way, just a way that's letting them know "I don't have to take your crap anymore, here's my two weeks notice"

or will you continue to work there for a little while longer while you have your degree?

%%#+ go sit down. Reevaluate your life. Look outside your suburbs read a book on Economics. Look at our current conditions as a whole. Do some research on what's to come in this country and come back in 2011 with a new approach cuz this thread blows.

Wow, you're a real stand up guy OP.

Obviously your degree loses it's integrity if you use it to "style" on your manager.
Be an adult and quit like one.
I'd also continue to work there since it helped me obtain my degree in the first place.

Of all people to take the "save-them" perspective

man that's a damn good position, but im sure someone doesn't want to still be taking crap from a %+%$%$! manager working at a register for little pay when they just grabbed their degree and prob has a promising job lined up.

isn't the point of getting your degree to actually get a career related to that certain degree? ppl in here like man #!+# that, ima keep it retail..
didnt know retail would get so much love, and yes i do know the unemployment rate is high as hell and the economy is still shaky.

That's probably the most mature response that you've ever posted on NT, kudos.
And I would have to cosign with this too.
