Relax. Notice you have yet to see a play run to get him a clean catch and shoot? I mentioned on Twitter, freaking Kobe Bryant gets left all alone for catch and shoots, and we can't run a play for Meeks? :\

Insert Nash, watch catch and shoots accrue for Meeks. Ie, no more dribbling.

Ron and Meeks dribbling makes me want to bowl with babies. :{

Anyways, no Nash, no Blake, no coach, Dwight not 100%, and we lost by 2, to the Spurs, on the final shot of the game. :lol Who by the way, maxed out Duncan at 37 minutes to try and get that win. I say it all the time, you can't match up with Pop in the regular season wtih 24 hours to prepare each game, but in the playoffs when you have 2 weeks to do nothing but study them, you can beat them easy. Dunc can't play 37-38 minutes every night anymore, and when Dwight is 100%, forget about it. How many times Dwight blow right by Duncan last night, but he can't lift up yet to finish? Reverse lay ins? :rollin When Dwight is healthy, good night Tim Duncan.

Also, while not using Nash or Blake, we learned that Morris can help us out by running non stop up and down the court on defense pressuing the PG. HUGE. That wastes time on the other team's PG just like they want to do to us with Nash. We can't do it all night, but Morris can come in for stretches and do that to help wear guys down. Remember Ariza used to guard Parker a couple years back? Same thing.

Whenever Nash gets back, I hope and pray I get to see Dwight/Pau/Kobe/Meeks/Nash. At that point, Meeks will be a lonely ************, cuz you ain't helpin off the other 4 of them dudes. Meeks WILL get catch and shoots. He needs a few of those to get himself goin. You can also use Jamison in that lineup instead of Pau as well to use multiple bench guys, as well as rest Pau and Ron for the second unit.

Shannon coming to give us buckets on Friday. :(

Not even gonna blame pau. Kobe needs to stick to his damn guy

On the last play, I thought Ron as going to set a pick for Kobe to receive the pass from pau but Ron just ran passed him forcing pau to take the 3

meeks did turnover alot but just wait til nash comes back, also kobe does need to stick to his man. he has been leaving them open and you cant leave green open in the arc.

i hope mike has a plan already with the offense because at the start of the game we were just running around loking for a open man and that caused like 5 TO's in the first half

Kobe messed up on that play for Green, gotta stay glued to him.

Gasol....

hate this guy. It has nothing to do with him missing the last shot, my problem is with effort. I dont care if you miss a few shots but consistenly getting out hustled can not be tolerated. He just looks like he doesnt care, get him out of here.

Morris played excellent defense, I was very happy with that. Offense on the other hand...

Dwight will be fine, not worried about him just get in shape.

Link to Nash being out another week?

also jordan hill has a sprained right wrist and is listed day to day..he should play friday though

man this guy hill gets hurt for every little thing...stay healthy man you playing good we need you

We've lost 5 games... 4 of which we had no business losing but cost ourselves the game.

10/30 vs. Dallas we shot better, had more rebounds... We lost because we shot 12-31 from the Line.
10/31 @ Portland... We shot within 1% in FG, 3P & FT. Had 15 more rebounds... BUT had double the turnovers. Shot 11 more times because of TOs
11/2 vs. Clippers... Shot better from FG & 3P. 1 less FTM with 1 more FTA. Has 1 less rebound. BUT double the turnovers. Clips shot 16 more times because of TOs

11/7 @ Utah.. We deserve to lose this game. They shot much better. And controlled the ball better

11/13 vs Spurs.. Shot better from FG & FT. Made 1 less 3P with the same 3PA.. 10 more rebounds.. 9 more TOs. Spurs shot 16 more times.

Not once in any loses were we out rebounded... And except for the game against Utah, we shot as well or better than the other team.

I was going to read through the thread but damn that's a lot of pages since yesterday.

Last night's game was that type of game where I shut it off right at the buzzer then look up the game the next day to see if we actually lost or we somehow, someway pulled it out. That was a defensive game (evidence by turnover after turnover) that went down to who could get the last stop.

But at one point I think in the 3rd or 4th it felt like we turned it over like 6 straight possessions. It was ridiculous. Dwight's gotta bring the ball up quick off his dribble move. It's getting swiped or slapped out of his hand every 3rd or 4th time.

Metta has to stop shooting. 4-14? Come on man end that nonsense. Especially those straight away threes off the dribble? You should know your strengths by now.

Pau..don't know what more to say. Great at times..lousy at other times. Dood needs to be consistent.

We have to get those wins at home. Our momentum should be carrying us.

Yeah i know.. maybe i'm just expecting him to launch 3s evrytime he touches the ball like Vujacic :lol

That's funny...

Still D'Antoni is a good hire...

Also Jim doesn't get the credit he deserves. He's become an easy scapegoat for a lot of nonsense

Don't you think the credit should really go to Kupchak & not so much skippy? I think his new nickname for me is short buss...

Truthfully, I think the Lakers & D'Antoni will be fine during the season. It's the post season I'm interested in seeing how they do. D'Antoni is smart, so I think we'll see him evolve...

There was an article over the summer about how the front office works.. Basically Mitch & Jim do almost all work together.. Jim & Mitch work on the overall picture together, Mitch works on fine details.. And Dr. Buss plays the role of Godfather and makes all final decisions.

LOL, so the article was basically saying short buss thinks of ideas to see what sticks to the wall & Mitch actually does all the work...JK (sort of)...Phil brought them 5 titles so we'll see how they do without him. Shoot, they almost had Paul, & they (he) ended up with Nash & Howard so they're doing something right (not to mention other players like Metta & Jamison)... I'm interested & rooting for D'Antoni....

The decision for D'Antoni was actually Jerry Buss... This is where Jim becomes the scapegoat of things he shouldn't get blame for...

No it's not what the article was saying.. No owner makes trades, it's just not feasible, also due to the fact that GMs are the ones who develop the relationships with other GMs to get work done.. Any owner who stepped in that role would look foolish, regardless of what team it is... That's why Jerry Buss never made trades himself...

What the article was saying that together decisions are made on who to get, and how to get them.. Mitch uses his relationships with other GMs to get it done.

The reason I haven't tweeted in 2 days is because I've been mourning Phil Jackson not being hired as the Lakers head coach.
My mother always taught me that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

Something I just realized about trading Pau, especially for someone like Josh Smith then makes us even less deep in the front court (not at PF, but at C)

Hill can't play Center (would make it tougher for him to grab garbage rebounds at the Center spot)... Smith can't play center.. Also means Jamison would have to play SF ( I'm sure PMatic & CP have now had a brain aneurism at the thought of this again)

What happens when Howard needs to sit? Who plays Center? Sure Smith is a great defensive player and could most likely handle his own, but then the offense is 5 guys standing around for at least 12 minutes per game.

So if we were to trade Pau.. We would need to get back a starting PF, backup Center, a shooter..

And we'd still have no PG who makes the bench better and creates shots.

How likely would the Hawks be to make a deal that guts their roster.. When everyone they give us would be an expiring contract.

The Los Angeles Lakers may have hired Phil Jackson as their next head coach had he not hesitated when meeting with Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss.

Jackson asked for two more days to contemplate coming back to the Lakers.

"We would have gone back immediately and gone back and holed up with Dr. [Jerry] Buss and decided what we were going to do that day," Kupchak said.

The Lakers moved forward with Mike D'Antoni after not hearing back from Jackson for approximately 30 hours.

"There was no agreement to wait for [Jackson's] response on Monday," Kupchak said. "He told us that's when he would get back to us. I could see where he might interpret that as 'You guys would wait for me.' But I thought when I said I had to go on and interview other candidates that it was clear I had a job to do."

sounds like Lakers misscommunicated
