Pau is Best when he is playing center.
When LO was at the 4 Pau played fantastic.
08-10 it was all Pau at center, besides when Bynum started and didn't even play a lot under Phil.
I don't see how a lot of you guys dont see that. It's the coaches fault for taking him out of the paint.

:smokin Spot on bro..I feel real bad for Gasol. He's one of the most humble dudes in the game. He does not talk bad about anyone or complain one bit!
Pau knows hes best playing C but is willing to step out for D12 or Bynum. He sacrificed so much for LA and now he's getting flamed.:{

Well at least we know that Pau falling off is one of the biggest reasons why the Lakers have been sucking the last 2 years.

He still does not get a pass on the defensive end. He was always soft but not THIS soft on defense. I saw Rudy Gay completely take him out of offensive rebounding positioning in one play and Randolph stole a rebound off a missed free throw. That just should not happen regardless of how the offense is going. His help and pick n roll defense are also worse than previous years except when he plays with Spain.

Told y'all Pau needs to anchor that 2nd unit as a center but noooooo I was insane for posting that a few nights ago lol

:lol all season long this is gonna go on. :lol

At least Brown is gone, I don't have to worry about him.

Guys, D'Antoni is in his preseason. Running lineups by feel, dealing with PG #1 AND 2, Ebanks in the doghouse, finding who plays with whom, and Dwight not fully right yet. On top of all those things, he has to limit minutes for key guys.

We've seen it. Ron, Morris, Meeks, Jamison ALL have had games. They can play, now he has to define roles. Wed Jamison hardly played, tonight, huge minutes. Mike D is learning the roster.

Chill.

Oh, its completely reprehensible, by the way, that Kobe walked off the court.

When... not 'if', but 'WHEN'... Dwight eventually does the same sort of thing, blame our franchise leader for showing him that's okay here.

*wondering how many of you are giving Kobe a pass after criticizing Lebron for that a few years ago*

*waits for responses like ":lol@Kobe haters" that ignore the actual issue*

Hard fought 7 game playoff series >>>>>>>>>>>> regular season game.

Wonder if Dwight was to busy playing around to get serious game time.

i didnt catch yesterdays game. caught up on this thread and didnt look good. i still think that nash will help pau in a tremendous way. let nash come back and play 3 weeks with the starters. if by then pau does not get it going, then and only then should the lakers consider trading him.

Just a random thought. I don't care if you think Blake will do well under MDA. He needs to go. Morris has proven he can do just as well if not better than Blake. He's also a decade younger. For a "old" team. If a player shows he can play as well offensively. Better defensively. It is the right move.

We have to let Blake go, at least once Nash comes back.

We shut down Morris for one year. He's shown DRASTIC improvement. We shouldn't shut him down again (which MDA will do) When Blake & Nash are both healthy.

Let the man be who he is.
He can't joke around off court now? :lol

Word :lol ... I feel like some of you guys find ANYthing to criticize after a loss.

Let the man be. Let our guys learn a new offense. Let us get our starting PG back first. Hell, let us get our backup PG back first.

Dont get me wrong, Pau needs to find a way to be more affective. He's too talented for that. But let's not act like he has ever been one to post up and throw it down on guys Shaq-style. What irks me the most about Pau is that it looks like he's satisfied, doesn't have that fire he used to. Him and Dwight should be the most lethal front court without a doubt and should master the high-low post game as the season progresses.

I can't wait for Nash to return, our team is going to look completely different with him in there.

Already have a better Backup Morris > Blake.

What I'm getting at is we are in the middle of implementing a new offense with a new coach, new players, and with players out with injuries.

Kobe's looking better than he has in a LONG time. Dwight's still not 100%. One of the best PG's of all time has only played 1 game with us. There is no need for fans to be panicking and looking at new trade possibilities after each and every loss. We all know Pau's soft, when has he ever been physical? Why do we expect him to change. He's one of the most skilled big men in the L and we (fans) are begging that he needs to be gone. Ridiculous. Calm the **** down. Hasnt even been ONE month into the season.

they need to lock pau up in a gym, let him get in some serious physical shape.. if he cant run he will not be able to be successful in the offense. especially someone with his skill set, he should be able to score at least 20+ per game

Pau in the post > Dwight in the post.

Give the dude the ball, stop hating. Pau has a great point, you can't expect him to be a mid-range shooter for the rest of his career now.

problem is is that NO ONE is going to guard Dwight past 12 ft. so the lane will always be clogged(unless he's in a P&R)

Pau has got to carry the O while Dwight isn't on the floor.

MDA/Mitch have to go get one more shooter to space the floor 8o

Or he can play elsewhere... Or he has to LEARN to play in a new way.

Or shuffle the rotation.

And Dwight > Pau in the post.

You gotta be patient and wait till Nash comes back. D'Antoni needs a decent PG to get things moving. That's not the case right now.

Good luck tonight guys. I may not watch any/most of the game, going out to dinner with family. Hope it's another good game regardless.
