Long story short I run a small up and coming clothing line out of Louisville KY, we dropped this tee a few months back.

Saw this today.

OK, where did the phrase "about that life" come from? I saw it in the Music forum first in some ATL beef thread

Common phrase . . . The Image behind words thing isn't new either . . . They could have got it from you . . . but there's nothing that really sets either shirt apart . . .

bout that life is southern slang from the late 90s, referring to the fact you were willing to kill and receive a life sentence. hence you being "bout that life" and not a skid bid. i heard ogs say it around 98-99, but i didn't see it used in popular/mainstream life til about 09/10.

No kidding.  Can NT get a decent start up brand that resembles a Gap/Banana Republic/J. Crew style and not Tap Out or some brand you would find in a Wal-Mart buy-one-get-one free bin...
 
it's more about the placement in terms of what was bitten

yes the style has been around but it's what you do with it that differs

Ugh, well at least their designer is a little better than yours, the "LI" looks like a "U" in your design (first pic). Generally speaking tho the giant font with an outline + extra close kerning is a terribly done. It's overdone and recycled "hip" design garbage. What makes your brand stand out against all the others? If your whole street wear is similar to this then you need a better graphic designer with technical ability + creative visual problem solving ability.

Took a look at your site and yeah..you need a designer. Your photos are centered around looking "cool" instead of functionally showing off the merchandise in a clear, crisp manner. Even your image caption names have the factory "IMG2309423" camera name tag still on them. Don't mean to come off as harsh, but if you start addressing these simple issues then you'd at least be in a better place.
