Digital Camera Reccomendations

Hey guys I'm looking to get a digital camera as a Christmas gift, and want to make sure that I get a really good one. I'm not trying to spend more than 150 to 175, and I'm looking for the best camera possible within that range. Can you guys recommend anything?
